Exploring and Understanding the Mass

March 19 @ 11:30 am - 12:30 pm

|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every week that begins at 11:30am on Sunday, repeating until March 26, 2017

Would you like to understand the Mass more clearly? During March we will have the opportunity to explore and understand the Mass. These sessions are for people of all ages and levels of understanding. This is a continuation of the pre-Lenten retreat that Fr. Jan Michael Joncas shared in February. There will be four sessions on the four Lenten Sundays of March. Peter Young, a parish lector who is studying for a Master’s Degree at the St. Paul Seminary School of Divinity, will be presenting these sessions after the 10:30 a.m. Mass here at St. Stephen’s. Sessions will be held in The Refuge. Each of the four sessions will focus on one or two portions of the Mass where we will be breaking down and focusing in on what it means to be a full participant. During the sessions there will be presentations and group discussion on how to be a full participant in the Mass. So if you are interested in truly understanding and fully participating in the Sacred Liturgy of the Mass, come and join us on the first four Sundays of Lent. The first session is March 5.
