Pope Francis is calling a general assembly (synod) of the bishops on the theme, “Youth, Faith, and Vocational Discernment” in October 2018. The Holy Father believes a better world can be built with the efforts of young adults and their desire and generosity to invest in themselves, to make bold choices, and to be led by the Holy Spirit. The Church wishes to listen to the voices of young people, their sensitivities, their faith, even their doubts and criticisms.
A series of Listening Sessions are being held throughout our Archdiocese. The next session is Wednesday, July 19, 6:30 p.m. at O’Gara’s, Saint Paul (part of the Theology on Tap summer series). In addition, young adults ages 16-30 are encouraged to take a brief online survey. For many more details, please visit www.archspm.org/YoungAdultVoices .
