A note from Laura Hudson, Mardi Gras Chairperson:
This year’s 21st Mardi Gras Gala was an amazing night with many highlights. The night’s success is made possible by the strong faith community we have here at St. Stephen’s Church and School. Thank you to everyone who had a part in this incredible community event as a donor, worker, supporter, or attendee. It is only with everyone’s help that we can make this large financial impact on our parish. We are humbled by the support and donations we have every year.
The night was filled with amazing food by Buona Sera, dancing to the sweet sounds of Power of 10, and fantastic attendees who gave so generously. We were able to complete the needed updates for the school Fund-A-Need projects to enhance the current music equipment, as well as purchasing
new scooters and wrestling mats for the gymnasium. We were also able to reach our goal for phase one of the church Fund-A-Need project to add a baby and miscarriage area at Calvary Cemetery and will be able to start this strategic plan project. If you are called to contribute to this multi-phase project, please contact the Parish Office. Thank you to everyone who donated to these Fund-A-Need items.
We are blessed to have dynamic parish and school communities supporting our event. We are grateful for the teachers and staff of St. Stephen, our parishioners, and the greater community, who continue to support our fundraiser with donations, time and talent.
We look forward to the excitement of Mardi Gras next year. We invite you to be part of our celebration for 2021 by being on the committee, making a donation, bidding online and attending the event.
On behalf of the 2020 Mardi Gras Committee, thank you!
