Campus and Cemetery Clean Up April 17

VOLUNTEER OR HELP US SPREAD THE WORD ABOUT OUR SPRING CLEAN-UP

Come join us on Saturday, April 17 (rain date April 24) for Spring Cleaning at Calvary Cemetery and St. Stephen’s campus. All are welcome! Bring your family and friends; adults, youth, and Parish groups.

What time? We will start at 8 am and work until 5 pm with an hour break from noon until 1 pm. Volunteers are welcome to help out all day or just for a portion of the day. Whatever works best for your schedule.

What should I bring? The Parish will supply general items needed for the clean-up, but we ask that you bring your own rake, gloves, sunscreen, and any other personal items. If you have a favorite lawn clean-up item, like a wheelbarrow or shovel, feel free to bring it along!

What will volunteers do? At the Church campus, we will have volunteers wash windows and take care of yard items among other miscellaneous tasks to spruce up the Church campus. At the cemetery, we will have volunteers pick up winter décor, rake and dispose of leaves and other lawn debris, clean and polish the granite of the columbarium, as well as take care of other spring cleaning items. A checklist on April 17 will be provided to team leads.

Besides volunteering, can I help in other ways? We are in need of many volunteers, but simply informing others of our spring clean-up is also appreciated! The Parish Office will accept donations April 12-16 of bottled water, individual snacks such as chips, granola bars, and trail mix, as well as fresh bags of apples and bananas for our wonderful volunteers.

If you are interested, let us know! Walk-in help on the day of is absolutely appreciated, but for planning purposes, an email response to Mary Jane Beberg is welcomed. You may also call the Parish Office at 763.421.2471. Thank you in advance for your consideration and continued support of St. Stephen’s!

In preparation for the April 17 Calvary Cemetery spring clean-up, we ask that all mementos be removed from the graves of loved ones by Friday, April 16. Plant stands in good condition are okay to be left, but damaged plant stands need to be removed. Broken and unsightly items will be removed if they are not taken off by April 16. Please contact the Parish office with questions.
