St. Stephen's Catholic School Seeking Qualified School Principal

St. Stephen’s Catholic School in Anoka is seeking a qualified and experienced educational leader for the position of School Principal effective for the 2021-2022 academic year. St. Stephen’s Catholic School in Anoka has a rich tradition of academic excellence serving students in preschool and kindergarten through eighth grade. This position is responsible for all academic programing; faith development; management of school faculty and staff; overseeing student activities; financial matters including budget and income/expense management; fundraising; and legal, health, and safety for the students, school faculty, and volunteers. The School Principal is responsible for the day-to-day operations and management of the school reporting directly to the Pastor/Superintendent.

Primary functions of this position are to create an environment that promotes Catholic faith and spiritual formation that seeks the development of every student; provide leadership in curriculum development and execution for each student; financial responsibility and development planning; evaluate and supervise faculty, staff, and students. The Principal collaborates with other resources including the Parish Administrator, school advisory board, Archdiocese Catholic School resources, and Catholic School Center of Excellence resources. The School Principal is the educational administrator and leader of the school promoting Catholic identity.

Requirements for this position include status as practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church, a deep commitment to the importance and mission of Catholic schools; a master’s degree in educational leadership or its equivalent (or progress toward this degree), and a minimum of three years teaching or administrative experience in Catholic Schools (preferred). The candidate will have demonstrated success in teaching; knowledge of school finance and budgeting; interpersonal and excellent communication skills: collaborative, organizational, and administrative skills with the ability to implement policies, directives, and initiatives; and commitment to the education and development of the children.
